SonyPG.com is in the process of searching for new writers that are willing to extend their abilities to our humble website in order to deliver up-to-date news and content on everything relating to Sony, including coverage of PlayStation and Blu-ray more specifically.
A writer for SonyPG.com is not only expected to report on the news, but to also create unique, insightful and originally written articles. Spelling and grammar is an absolutely critical factor when we’re in the process of considering accepting a new writer, so please keep that in mind.
Benefits along with becoming a writer are as followed: An opportunity to establish your name as a writer as well as being able to share your work with the entire Sony and PlayStation community. You will also have the chance to work side-by-side with the SonyPG.com staff, including fellow writers and moderators, and you will be awarded a colored rank that’s exclusive to SPG writers on the Sony Protection Group forum.
This time around we are requiring all potential applicants to send us an essay as an example of your writing abilities. At least 100 words are required (we will make an exception if you’re submission is very good), and the topic is up to you, but we ask that it relate to Sony (in general), PlayStation (ps1 – ps3 or in general), or Blu-ray in some way. Any topic is ok with us, that could be from an article you read today or a completely original piece, as long as it relates to Sony, PlayStation, or Blu-ray.
Apart from the essay, we will also need you to answer a few questions in your application:
1. What is your real name?
2. How old are you?
3. How long have you been writing, and what experience do you have with writing?
4. Do you have any examples of your writing? If so, share what you have.
To submit your application for this position as a writer, you will need to send an email to
Finalstrike@comcast.net, and please make sure to clearly state the purpose of the email in the title (example: SonyPG.com Writing Application). But, before submitting your application to us, we would first request that you join the
SonyPG.com forum as that is where we carry out all of our discussions.
Send your application to
